Why Gutters Matter More Than You Think
Blocked gutters are one of the most overlooked causes of water damage in Ontario homes. When gutters overflow, water runs down the exterior wall, pools against the foundation, and eventually finds its way inside. In winter, clogged gutters create ice dams — heavy ice buildups that can pull gutters off the fascia and force water under the shingles.
When to Clean Gutters
The most important time is late fall after most leaves have dropped. A spring cleaning is also worthwhile to clear any debris that accumulated over winter. If you have mature trees overhanging your roof, an extra mid-summer clean may be necessary.
What We Do
We clear gutters by hand and flush downspouts to confirm water flows freely. Any debris is removed from the property. If we spot damage — loose sections, holes, or detached downspouts — we'll let you know so it can be addressed before it causes larger problems.
